The Beauty Of Korean Skincare
It's no secret that Korean women are known for their beautifully glowing skin. And by now, I'm sure most of you are familiar with that talked about 10-step Korean beauty skincare routine. 10 steps is kind of time consuming and I'm all about customizing a routine that suits your personal needs. My routine is pretty straight forward: I cleanse, sometimes twice (I always try to use my Clarisonic as well) depending on how much makeup I've had during the day. Then, I'll use a toner. After toner comes serum, then eye cream and finally a face cream. I exfoliate 2-3 times a week and when it's colder outside I'll switch out the cream for oil, or do a 50/50 blend. I'll do this every night, and in the mornings I'll use a light cleanser, serum, and cream (mostly winter time) that sits well under my foundation. Most days I'll use a tinted day cream since I'm not a huge foundation fan. Honestly, Korean beauty products have made a huge impact on my skins overall appearance, it's taken years off my face. Ok, so over to the brands I've been using and completely love.
This brand has a holistic approach, and their products contain high grades of herbal and natural ingredients. They feel mild and effective. The First Care Activating Serum is my favorite and I also use the Snowise EX Brightening serum when I need a little extra glow!
Amore Pacific //
I first discovered Amore Pacific when at Sephora back in 2012. I wanted to try a new tinted moisturizer, and someone had recommended this brand to me. It is to this day one of the best I've ever tried. A couple of months ago I got this eye cream, which is insanely good. I'm also using the Treatment Cleansing Oil and Natural Protector SPF 30 to protect my skin from the damaging rays.
Peach & Lily //
This is not a brand, but a website that holds some amazing Korean brands under their roof. Their customer service is fantastic, and skincare experts will tailor products to your skins specific needs. I got and eye cream that I use for daytime and a face cream I that fit's perfect for my oily summer skin ( it's currently around 100F here in L.A.) If you're not familiar with K-skincare, this IS the place to visit.
